Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Training Course
This training course qualifies participants as Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).
Course Overview
This training also provides the participants with
comprehensive knowledge to enable them take on the duties and responsibilities as defined in the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
Practical case studies are used to illustrate possible measures to comply with the maritime security requirements.
This course meets the requirements of the ISPS Code and the requirements specified in the IMO Model course 3.21 (2015 ed.) for Port Facility Security Officer.
The course focuses on:
- Understanding the ISPS Code
- Assessment of security risks, threats and vulnerability
- Developing, maintaining and supervising the implementation of a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP)
- Conducting periodic inspections of the port for which the participant is designated to act as the Port Facility Security Officer to ensure appropriate security measures are implemented and maintained
- Ensuring that security equipment and systems, if any, are properly operated, tested and calibrated
- Encouraging security awareness and vigilance
- Identifying weapons and improvised explosive devices
- Security training, drills and exercises

Ship Security Officer (SSO) Training Course
This course is designed for crew who may encounter ship security or ship safety problem as they transit high-risk areas, adverse conditions and hostile environments.
Course Overview
This training also provides the participants with comprehensive knowledge to enable them take on the duties and responsibilities as defined in the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
Practical case studies are used to illustrate possible measures to comply with the maritime security requirements.
During the three day intensive program, our instructors provide the essential skills and qualifications to:
- Maintain and supervise the implementation of a ship’s security plan
- Assess security risk, threat and vulnerability
- Undertake regular inspections of the vessel to ensure appropriate security measures are implemented and maintained
- Coordinate the security measures for handling cargo
- Monitor security equipment ensuring it is operated, tested, calibrated and maintained.
On completion, qualified ship security officers have the knowledge and expertise to deal with situations that pose security threats to vessels and its crew while at sea.
Particular focus is given to what to do when entering high-risk areas, adverse conditions or hostile environments.
This course will also cover specific threats including piracy, terrorism and other such occurrences.

Company Security Officer (CSO) Training Course
This training course qualifies participants as Company Security Officer (CSO).
Course Overview
Training as been designed based on the MSC/Circ 1154
“Guidelines on training and certification for Company Security Officers” and aims to provide knowledge to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a company Security Officer(CSO) as defined in paragraph 2.1.7 of the ISPS Code, part A.
In particular, the duties and responsibilities with respect to the security of the ship, for ensuring the development of a ship security assessment, for ensuring the development of implementation, maintenance and updating of a Ship Security Plan, and or liaising with Ship Security Officers(SSOs) and with Port Facility Security Officers(PFSOs).

Security Awareness Training for All Sea Farers
Course Overview
Security Awareness Course is designed to provide those on board vessels who do not have designated security duties with the necessary security awareness training which meets the knowledge,
understanding and proficiency requirements as set out in the STCW Code.
This training must be undertaken by all seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board any ship which is required to comply with the ISPS Code.
The course provides training which includes the ISPS Code, Recognizing security threats, Maritime security definitions, Security roles and responsibilities, Ship security requirements, Security threat levels, Security measures and procedures
