Course Overview
Security Awareness Course is designed to provide those on board vessels who do not have designated security duties with the necessary security awareness training which meets the knowledge, understanding and proficiency requirements as set out in the STCW Code.
This training must be undertaken by all seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board any ship which is required to comply with the ISPS Code.
The course provides training which includes the ISPS Code, Recognizing security threats, Maritime security definitions, Security roles and responsibilities, Ship security requirements, Security threat levels, Security measures and procedures

The course duration is one (1) day.
