What the workshop aims to achieve

She has served as a Maritime Legal Consultant to the House of Representatives, Committee on Marine Transport, on some International Conventions and trained the first set of the Cabotage Enforcement Officers for Nigeria Maritime Administration & Safety Agency (NIMASA), on Cabotage Law and Implementation. Mrs Anishere is a member of the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping; founding member and President, the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA-NIG.)

Prof. Charles Ukeje’s research interests centres on the Niger Delta oil region of Nigeria where the operational activities of foreign capital, spanning several Centuries, continue to have far-reaching implications for state-society relations and the political economy of the Nigerian State, as well as peace and security in the oil-rich but strategically prominent Gulf of Guinea. He specialises on the Political Economy of Oil and Conflict in Nigeria’s Delta Region and in the Gulf of Guinea; Politics and Society in West Africa
Frank Ojadi joined Lagos Business School in 2000 after working for several years in various sectors of the Nigerian economy including the food, tobacco and beverages sector, steel and aluminium and paper products sectors where he was at various times, operations manager and leader in logistics and supply chain management divisions of the companies. As a full-time faculty member at Lagos Business School, he teaches courses in operations management, and logistics and supply chain management.
Captain Warredi Emisuo- Is a Master Mariner/Airline Pilot/Lecturer/Search and RescueInstructor. He served in the Australian Maritime Safety Authority(AMSA) as Search And Rescue Officer/Instructor between 2002-2008. Virgin Nigeria Airways/Air Nigeria between 2008-2011 as an Airline Pilot. Deputy Director. Maritime Safety and Seafarers Standards in the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency(NIMASA) between 2011-2012. He is currently the Acting
Director – Shipping Development and Operations, Nigerian Maritime Administration
and Safety Agency(NIMASA).
Mr. Shtilman is the vice President business and founder of KMBTS Ltd. worldwide. He has done several consultancy services on piracy in Africa and has many years of experience in fighting piracy. He is a former member of the Israeli ISA. He served as the coordinator of the protection of the Israeli President, Prime Minister and Government Ministers both in Israel and abroad working closely with governmental and private security agencies in more than 30 countries. Before joining the ISA Mr. Shtilman served as Navy Seal for five years
Mrs. Suleiman has attended various professional and development courses over the years. In addition to contributing to formulating and implementing various strategic development policies while serving as Minister, she still actively supports gender and humanitarian issues, particularly the empowerment of women and the less privileged, through various platforms. She was appointed Commissioner Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the ECOWAS Commission in February 2012
Dr. Ikokide is a fellow of the institute of Freight Forwarders of Nigeria. A fellow of the Institute of Shipping and a chartered Member of institute of Institute of Logistics and Transport London. He is at present the National President of the Institute of Freight Forwarders of Nigeria, a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) Non-Oil/Non-Agric Policy Commission, and the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria. He is the President/CEO of Zee-Bee Resources.
